PERKINS, Robert N. Sr. - of Clio, age 82, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013. Funeral services will be held 1PM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1PM until 8PM and on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of services at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Robert was born January 14, 1931 in Flint, MI to the late Newell and Ethyl (Wisner) Perkins. He married the love of his life Beverly Hudson on February 7, 1953 in Mt. Morris and they enjoyed 54 years together. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2007. Mr. Perkins was a U.S. Marine. He retired from Buick after over 47 year's seniority and was a member of the UAW local # 599. Robert enjoyed fishing, boating, spending time with his family and grandkids.
Surviving are: 3 children, daughter Vicky (Dale) Anderson of Clio, sons Don (Wendy) Perkins of Clio and Bob (Julie) Perkins of Flushing; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Clark Perkins; numerous brothers and sisters in law; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by; beloved wife, Beverly; sister, Dorothy Thomas.
