Perry, James Edward, of Flushing, age 89, died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at his home. A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. There will be a gathering of family and friends 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home followed by a Knights of Columbus Memorial Service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart and Lung Association.
James was born in Flint, Michigan on February 25, 1929, the son of Stanley and Mary Madeline (Pepper) Perry. He married Jane Gaul on December 5, 1959, in Flint. James served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an active member of St. Robert Catholic Church where he was an Usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. James loved antique cars and enjoyed spending time outdoors, but his greatest joy was being with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jane; sons, Tony and wife Lisa Perry of Grand Blanc, John and wife Sarah Perry of Fenton; grandchildren, Grace and Lawson; sisters-in-law, Mary Perry and Angela Dombrowski; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother. |
