LAST, Norwin W. – of Clio, Michigan, age 95, died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Brent Engel officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Life in Christ Lutheran Church – Deaf Ministry Fund, in Peoria, Arizona.
Norwin was born March 17, 1924 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late Howard and Dora (Engel) Last. He married Dorothy in 1952. She preceded him in death January 14, 1970. Norwin later married Elsie in 1972. She preceded him in death September 25, 2006. Mr. Last retired from Buick with 30 years of service and was a member of the UAW Local #599. He was also a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, the Birch Run Moose Lodge #2426, and the Flint Association of the deaf. Norwin loved attending church. He also loved playing Euchre, the lottery, and trips to the casino. Norwin enjoyed sports – especially the Detroit Tigers and the University of Michigan.
Surviving are: Son, Gerald Last; Daughters: Shirley Zeno, and Katherine Vendal; Grandchildren: Mike Storms, Jodi Kristensen, Amy Skopek, Andrew Vendal, Karen Kennedy, and Kristy Dusevic; Great grandchildren: Hannah, Taylor, Simon, Owen, Charlotte, Eli, Tyler, Katie, Bailey, Kaitlyn, Brendan.
