Wilson, Edith M. – of New Lothrop, age 80, died Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Angel Manor in Clio. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Rev. Terry Euper officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 3-8:30 PM and Saturday from 11 AM until the time of service.
Edith was born May 20, 1935, in Broomes Island, Maryland. She married Frank M. Wilson on May 30, 1952. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2010. Edith retired in 2004 from the U.S. Postal Service. She had resided in New Lothrop since 2011 coming from Montrose and Clio. She was a former member of Christian Faith Church in Montrose and was a current member of the New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene. Edith was very active in church. She loved people and loved socializing. She also liked to watch the Detroit Tigers and enjoyed game shows. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Daughters: Karen (Dave) Hobson of New Lothrop, JoAnne Wilson of Mt. Morris, Sandra Wilson of Scottsdale, AZ., Son, Paul (Cindy) Wilson of Myrtle Beach, SC; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; Edith was also preceded in death by her brothers: Albert and Harry Parks.
