AUSTIN, Merilyn Sue - Of Mt. Morris, age 72, died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 12pm Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Leonard Kitson officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 3-8pm Saturday, 12-8pm Sunday and 11am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Merilyn was born in Galesburg, MI on January 10, 1942, the daughter of the late E. Blake and Irene E. (Hale) Briggs. She worked at Willowbrook Manor for 32 years as a CNA and Housekeeper. Merilyn was a member of the First Flint Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are children, Ronda Sierra and John Austin;
grandchildren, Mallory Austin, Dustin (Hollie) Sierra, Drew (Jamie) Sierra, Devin Sierra, Shelby Wagner, Jonathon Austin;
great-grandchildren, Sage, Ava, Adelayd and Evangelyne;
sister, Cheryn Briggs;
and beloved pets, Little Lee and Agustus.
