VELASQUEZ, Pedro "Pete" - Of Flint, age 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 16, 2020 after a long battle with dementia.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Bishop Keith McKinnies officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery
Visitation 11am Tuesday until the time of the service.
He was the youngest child of a large, loving family. Pedro was a hard worker. He retired from General Motors after a 40 year career. Pedro was a proud member of Calvary Apostlic Tabernacle. He was a lifelong fan of Notre Dame and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a loving husband and proud father and grandfather.
Surviving are wife, Patricia (Chromie) Velasquez;
son, Chano Jose Velasquez (Jamie);
daughter, Amanda Jo Ann Velasquez;
brother, Chano Velasquez (Adela) of Donna TX;
sisters, Delfina, of Weslaco TX and Evangelina Wilches of Dallas TX;
grandchildren, Noah Rupright, Zoey Velasquez, Chano Velasquez;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Lupe Alaniz, Esther Ochoa, and Jovita Nunez, brothers, Jesus Velasquez and Gilberto Velasquez and his parents, Feliciano Velasquez and Reyes Castellanos Veleasquez.
