STEPHENS, Lawrence D. “Larry” - Of Linden, age 71, died Monday, December 17, 2018 at Saginaw VA Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 2pm Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Bristol Road Church of Christ, 1315 West Bristol Road, Flint,
Minister Steve Cunningham officiating.
Burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SemperFiFund.org
Visitation 12Noon Thursday at church until the time of the service.
Larry was born in Flint on November 22, 1947, the son of the late Cecil and Wilma (Behler) Stephens. Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Hamady Brothers, then worked at other various retail management positions. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze and Silver Star. His hobbies included fishing, scuba diving, camping and photography.
Surviving are siblings, Richard (Chole) Stephens, Gary (Debi) Stephens;
nieces and nephews, Sheryl (Gustavo) Prato, David (Melody) Stephens, Teresa Stephens, Mark (Toni) Stephens, and Jaime (Jason) Sherman;
and 8 grand nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Jeff Stephens.
