MONK, Dorothy Jane – Of Flint, age 91, died Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Joyce Johnston officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hurley Children’s Miracle Network or Carriage Town Ministries.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born in Flint, Michigan on July 15, 1924, the daughter of Fred and Louise (Fuelsack) Guthrie.
Surviving are children, Richard (Nancy) Monk,
Christine Monk,
Carolyn (Erick) Joier,
Stanley Monk and (Kim),
Tom Monk and(Jeanette),
Catherine (Tracy) Everhart;
grandchildren, Daniel Monk, Christie Adams, Stanley (Jenn) Monk, Lisa (Amanda) Church, Spencer Everhart and Connor Everhart;
three great-grandchildren;
sisters, Eunice Brockreide, Mary Guthrie and Marcia Rice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; grandson, Royce Joier and granddaughter, Jillian Joier.
