Donald Elwin Muxlow, 82, of Attica for last 57 years, formerly of Brown City, died Tuesday February 28, 2017. He was born December 13, 1934 in Brown City to parents Fred and Thresa Muxlow. Mr. Muxlow married Norma J. Roney on December 3, 1953 in Lapeer.
Don worked as a constable for Attica Township for 10 years, then served on the Attica Fire Department for 12 years. Mr. Muxlow then worked for the Lapeer County Sheriff Dept. for 25 years, retiring as a Sargent. Don loved his large family and friends.
Mr. Muxlow is survived by his wife of 63 years: Norma J. Muxlow, children: Cheryl (Dave) Thompson of Attica; James (Julie) Muxlow of Lapeer; Doug (Lori) Muxlow of Attica; Larry (Treasa) Muxlow of Attica, grandchildren: Alan; Neil; Kyle; Jennifer; Jamie; Jaclyn, great-grandchildren: Liam; Jack; Addy; Jeffrey; Jacob; Kalie; Chealsy; Brittney; Brianna; Zachary, siblings: Harry (Virginia) Muxlow of Brown City and Shirley Boller of Lapeer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Muxlow's visitation will be 4:00-9:00pm Wednesday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. His funeral will be 11:00am Thursday March 2, 2017 at Muirs. Burial will immediately follow services in Attica Township Cemetery.
