Kowalski, George – of Clio, age 86, died Friday, June 17, 2013 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in Flint Memorial Park with military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11 AM to 1PM.
George was born February 21, 1927 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Gregory and Mary (Tuwak) Kowalski. He was a World War II, U.S. Navy veteran. George had resided in Clio since 1950. He was retired from Buick Motor Division with 30 years of service. He was also member of UAW Local 599. George enjoyed deer hunting in the U.P., auto mechanics, horse racing and playing the accordion.
Surviving are: Niece, Christine (Ronald) Rohlfs of Holt and nephew, Edward Kowalski of Eaton Rapids. Several other nieces, nephews and cousins. George was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
