DAVIDSON, Thomas Edward - Age 90, of Fenton, died Monday, August 20, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 24, 2018 at Lake Fenton United Methodist Church, 2581 N. Long Lake Road, Fenton. Rev. Char Shay officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Thursday from 4-8 PM and at church Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Lake Fenton Community School or the Lake Fenton United Methodist Church.
Thomas was born March 12, 1928 in Shelburn, IN, the son of Herbert A. and Hallie E. (Sterling) Davidson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He married Rosedeana Robertson March 20, 1949 in Terre Haute, IN and she preceded him in death October 1, 2016. He retired in 1987 from GM Flint Metal Fab after 33 years of service. Thomas was a member of Lake Fenton and Oscoda United Methodist Churches. He also was a member of the West Terre Haute Masonic Lodge #687 F.&A.M., Bay City Scottish Rite, Elf Khurafeh , Saginaw, The Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem, American Legion, Loose Senior Center in Linden, Lake Fenton Athletic Boosters, and the Oscoda Lions Club. He and his wife Rosedeana were the founders of the Flint Roadrunners Camping Club.
Surviving are: 5 children, Pam and husband Bernie Geller of Santa Monica, CA, Thomas and wife Kathleen Davidson of Tawas City, Robert Davidson and partner Ward Lindsay of Fenton, James and wife Jackie Davidson of Swartz Creek, and Herb and wife Sherry Davidson of Fenton. daughter-in-law, Cheryl Davidson of Battle Creek; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister, Johanna and husband Robert Moreland of Terre Haute, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim, Fred, and William Davidson. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
