Ken Jesse of Swartz Creek died in the presence and comfort of his family on March 2,
2019. Ken was born on December 27th, 1936 to Clifford and Alice Jesse. He married
Sarah Jesse on May 1st, 1964 in Caro, Michigan. Ken served in the US Army
Chemical Core Division. He was a member of Phoenix United Methodist Church. He
was employed at General Motors, retiring in 1989. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, and
trapping throughout his life. He was blessed by his children Neale and Julie, with
many years spent traveling and camping throughout the US.
In his later years, his life was lit up with arrival of his two grandchildren Abby and
Adam Jesse. These years were spent attending scholastic and athletic events for them,
including memorable vacations with his family. Surviving are his wife Sarah, son
Neale, daughter Julie, grandchildren Adam & Abby, their mother Lesley, sisters
Myrtle, Mary (Arnold), Brother Bob (Carol), and many nieces and nephews. Ken was
preceded in death by his brothers, Roger, Bill, Fran, Earl Jesse, and Bill Cunningham.
Ken recently celebrated his 35th year of being a member of A.A. where he received
exponential support.
Memorial services will be held at Phoenix United Methodist church by Pastor Sang
Chun at 12:00 PM Friday March 8th, 2019. Burial will be at Great Lakes National
Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
