Age 71, died on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. Services will be held 3 PM Monday, October 7, 2019, at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Mark Cox will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday at the funeral home from 4 PM to 8 PM and 2 PM until the time of the service 3 PM Monday. A memorial service will be held in North Carolina at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Bo was born June 15, 1948 in Lumberton, North Carolina, the son of Carvel and Mary (McLean) West. He worked for General Motors UAW Local 599 for many years before his retirement. Bo was a member and past trustee of the Flint Eagles #629 and member of the Burton Eagles #3814. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing the guitar and telling his famous "Bo Jokes." He is survived by his wife, Cindy Jones; two daughters, Samantha (Steve Rice) Aumaugher and Sylvia (Marcus Gere) West; 3 bonus children, Dusten, Sabrina and Derek Gregory; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; bonus son-in-law, Geoff Aumaugher; 3 sisters, Ann Ivey, Libby (Gerry) Devine and Donna (Jeff Gullett) West; and former wife, Linda West. Bo was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila West; parents, Carvel and Mary West; sister, Lisa West; and first wife, Wanda Wunderlich-West. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
