CONNER, Virginia S. – of Flint, age 71, passed away at her residence, peacefully surrounded by her family on May 23, 2017. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, May 26, 2017 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5073 Daly Blvd., Flint; Pastor Gary L. Beck officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Virginia was born in Pottstown, PA on February 22, 1946, daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Spencer) Minger. She married William J. Conner, Jr. on December 31, 1970 in Flint, MI. Virginia worked as a Professor for Baker College for 22 years. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Virginia is survived by her husband, William; children, James W. (Tina) Conner, Kaye (John) Valley, Catherine (Robert Seidor) Conner, Michael Conner and Stephen Conner; sister, Bonnie Minger; ten grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sisters, Karen Gephart and Patricia Unangst.
