TROMBLEY, Margie E. – of Flint, age 94, died Monday, January 30, 2017 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley St. Flint,
Father James Mangan officiating.
Cremation will take place following the Mass.
Those desiring may make contributions to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Trombley will be at the church from 10:30am Saturday until the time of the Mass.
Margie was born in Flint, Michigan on November 18, 1922, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Burnside) Welter.
On April 11, 1944 she married Milton Trombley in Flint.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Flint, member of the Altar Society at St. Agnes in the 50’s and was Secretary of the Flint Teachers Union.
Margie was a working mom, spending the bulk of her career at the Flint Board of Education.
In retirement she was an office manager at Ramblers Rest Resort in Venice, Florida.
She loved swimming, reading and traveling to various areas of the country.
Surviving are children, Marianna Hurley,
Donald and wife Janie Trombley,
Gary Trombley,
Patric Trombley and partner Steven Waldron,
Kevin and wife Kay Trombley and
Janice Halleck;
11 grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; grandsons, Timothy Wates-Trombley, Dustin and Jeremy Halleck.
