TURNER, Leatrice “Lee” (Jarrad) – Of Burton, age 96, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Wellbridge of Fenton.
Funeral service will be held 12:30pm Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Sarah LaRose Nettell officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 10:30am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to COPD Foundation or the American Heart Association.
Lee was born in Lansing, Michigan on September 2, 1922, the daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel Marie (Perry) Jarrad. Lee graduated from Flint Central High School, Class of 1941. She retired from AC Spark Plug Delphi in 1982. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, John F. Turner (Jack) in August, 2014. Lee lived an unselfish life, always putting others’ needs above her own. Treating everyone with kindness and respect. Her entire life was centered around her love for the family.
She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Marilyn (Larry) Ostrander and Carole (the late Gary) Anthony; son, Dr. Steven (Christi) Turner;
7 grandchildren, Larry (Lisa) Ostrander, Derek (Jenn) Ostrander, Todd Anthony, Chad (Bonnie) Anthony, Lisa (Doug) Steele, Matthew (Raissa) Turner and Trisha Turner;
12 great-grandchildren:
And Sister-in-law, Dorothy (the late Alex “Sandy”) Turner.
Lee was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother, Raymond Maynard Jarrad, and beloved son-in-law, R. Gary Anthony.
