PURDY, Linda S. –Of Durand, age 60, fought hard after a short battle with cancer on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at her daughter's residence.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Ray Strawser
officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation 3 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Those desiring may make contributions to Owosso Memorial Hospice.
Linda was born in Flint, Michigan on May 12, 1953, daughter of the late Martin and Naomi (Osborn) Snider and was a resident of Durand.
On January 10, 1972 she married Bruce Purdy and he preceded her in death in 2008.
She loved Elvis, spending money and spoiling her grandchildren.
Linda was employed by Premier Packaging, where she worked for 25 years and was a member of UAW Local #708.
Surviving are daughter, Adrienne (Brian) Fritzler;
son, Brett (Catherine);
grandchildren, Brianna, Courtney, Tyler and Carver;
brother, Kenneth Snider and
mother, Naomi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; father and sister, Sherry Schaible.
