VAUGHN, Linda C. -Of Grand Blanc, age 66, died Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Sid Fullwood officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one's choice.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Linda was born in Grundy, Virginia on February 22, 1950, the daughter of the late Luther and Billiegene (Justice) McClanahan.
In 1978 she married John E. Vaughn and he preceded her in death in 1992.
She was an avid sports fanatic and loved NASCAR, Tigers, Lions and all professional and college sports.
She was a member of the VFW #7435 Ladies Auxiliary in Hale, Michigan.
Linda retired from Lake Orion GM in 2015, after 15 years of service.
Surviving are brother, L.C. (Yvonne) McClanahan;
sisters, Bobbie Gene Alfaro and Mary Sue Young;
step-mother, Margaret Jane McClanahan Green;
half-brothers, Curtis (Joanie) McClanahan and Roderick (Tracey) McClanahan;
many nieces and nephews, who she loved very much;
significant other of 18 years, Bob Newcombe.
She was preceded in death by nephew, Michael Hill and brother-in-law, Jim Young.
