LABAR, Marvil Irene – Of Flint, age 95, died Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Brookdale Memory Care.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Visitation 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
Marvil was born in Pontiac, Michigan on March 16, 1924, the daughter of the late Berger and Dorothy (Jenkins) Miller.
She married Victor LaBar on May 30, 1942.
She enjoyed going to the cabin on Fife Lake. Her world revolved around her family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.
Mrs. LaBar worked at Fisher Body Flint for a rewarding 30 year career.
Surviving are daughter, Sharol Rabideau;
sons, Randy (Diane) and Gary (Brenda);
8 grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren;
2 sisters-in-law, Muriel McGowan and Sharley Buchner;
brother-in-law, Duane LaBar;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor LaBar.
