JORGENSEN, Jerome "Jerry" Carlyle - Age 81, of Oscoda, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Services will be held 3PM Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road ,Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 11 AM until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Jerome was born in Cadillac, on September 1, 1935 the son of the late Anton Carlyle and Eva Bertina (Williams) Jorgensen. He married Mary Ellen Prince in Flint on April 11, 1984 and she preceded him in death on June 30, 2003. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid bowler, having many 300 games. He was a member of Flint UAW Local 659 and retired from GM Chevrolet manufacturing plant with 35 years of service. Mr. Jorgensen was also a member of the Flint Masonic Temple. Surviving are: children, Jeannie Merrill of Durand, Ed Hall of Harrison, Wayne Jorgensen of Oscoda, Connie Jorgensen of Owosso; step-children, Michael, Sherry, Renee, Angel, Lynora; grandchildren, Kimberly, Charlotte, Eddie (Jennifer), Mark (Shawn), Michelle, Joseph, Elizabeth, Kristal, Nichole, Katie, Angela, Jasmine; great grandchildren. Brooke, Trenton, Larry, Tiffany, Laura, Jon, Auburn, Joslyn, Jade, Haley, Colin. Jerry is also survived by many special friends and neighbors. A special thank you to Jerry's son Wayne for his loving care. Jerry was also preceded in death by his son's Michael Jorgensen on October 5, 1990, Thomas Jorgensen on November 19, 2006, son in-law, Robert Merrill and the mother of his children Donna Jean Jorgensen on December 24, 2005.
