Kaczmarek, Nellie Theresa (Rostecki) – age 97, went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2017. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held from 4pm – 8pm on Sunday, July 9, 2017 and 2pm – 8pm on Monday, July 10, 2017 with Knights of Columbus Spousal Ceremony beginning at 6:15pm on Monday, followed by PLAV Memorial Service and Rosary Prayer Service to begin at 7pm at Reigle Funeral Home – 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, MI. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 with one hour of visitation prior to mass at St. John Vianney Catholic Church – 2415 Bagley St., Flint, MI with Father Robert Kolinski celebrating. Interment will be at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint, MI. Nellie was born in Flint, MI on May 25, 1920, daughter of Frank and Stefania Rostecki. She lived in Flint her whole like where in 1940 she met the love of her life, Anthony (Tony) Kaczmarek. They were married October 9, 1943 at All Saints Catholic Church and were together for 72 beautiful years until God called Tony in May 2015. Nellie worked at A. C. Spark Plug for 18 years. She was a member of both St. Lukes and All Saints Catholic Church. She was very active in church activities; working Bingo at St. Lukes and as a member of the Alter Society. At All Saints she was an Officer of the Rosary Society for many years and a member of The Daughters of Isabella for 50 years. She was a Lifetime member of PLAV Chapter #8 Ladies Auxilliary and Dom Polski of Flint, MI. Nellie loved her sports: Detroit Tigers, Michigan and Michigan State football and basketball. She could tell you the name of all the players as well as every play. She loved to cook and bake. Holidays were her favorite, always decorating and making everything beautiful for her family and friends. Nellie was a loving wife and devoted mother. Her family meant the world to her. All who knew and loved her will sadly miss her presence. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joyce (Mark) Stadie and Kevin (Annette) Kaczmarek; 3 granddaughters: Krysta (Fiancé Kris), Kayla (Fiancé Jon), Kara Kaczmarek; grandson: Chaz Stadie; several nieces and nephews, including special niece (daughter) Elizabeth (Betty) Liwak. She will also be missed by all her kitties. Nellie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tony, her parents, brother, and three sisters. Our family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice, especially Alissa Vincent who was always there for us, Dr. Edward Christy, and Ted Nagy who took wonderful care of Mom.
