Edith I. Couturier of Genesee Township age 93 passed away Friday July 6, 2012 at Durand Senior and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday July 9, 2012 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Private burial at Flint Memorial Park. Edith I. Couturier of Genesee Township age 93 passed away Friday July 6, 2012 at Durand Senior and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday July 9, 2012 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Private burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday July 8, 2012 at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contribution in Edith’s memory to Human Society. Edith was born in Flint, Michigan on February 3, 1919 the daughter of the late Ervin and Beatrice (Curtis) DeLong and resided in the Flint area her entire life. She was joined in marriage to Joseph Couturier 1937 and he preceded her in death September 24, 1992. She graduated from Beecher High School, and had been employed by General Motor. She is survived by her children: Joseph and wife Shirley Couturier, Ronald Couturier, Gary Couturier, and Denise and husband Curtis Drury; 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren; sisters: Mabel Moore, and Audrey Myers; and host of other relatives. She is preceded in death by grandchildren: Ronald Scott Couturier and Eric Gene Couturier; 1 brother and 5 sisters.
