COOL, “Gramma” Alice– of Davison, age 96, was welcomed into loving arms of her Savior on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Monday, September 8, 2014 at World Outreach Center, 2275 N. Irish Rd., Davison; Bishop Jerry W. Pruett and Rev. Berniece Matejcek co-officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM on Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Gramma was born in Flint, MI on February 9, 1918, daughter of the late Fred and Dora (Adams) Ridley. She married Arnold Cool on June 4, 1937 and he preceded her in death on March 17, 1971. Gramma was a charter member at World Outreach Center. She enjoyed cooking, baking, hosting dinner parties and being with her children.
Gramma is survived by her children, LaDonna Parker, Larry (Janine) Cool, Lynda (Jerry) Pruett, Leota (Jay) Jackson, Lynn (Paulette) Cool and Letha (Ray) Curtin; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, sisters, stepdaughter, son-in-law and two great-grandsons. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her aides, Sheryl Ross and Donna Schindel and to Pastor Gary Curell for his prayers.
