BROWDER, Stephen - Of Swartz Creek, age 64, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 30, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Monday, June 3, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Chaplain Donald Bennett officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 1-8pm Sunday and 11am Monday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Stephen was born in Flint on August 23, 1954, the son of the late Jack and Marvella (Ballard) Browder. On April 26, 2005 he married Peggy Sue Clark. Stephen was raised in Gaines, Michigan on a 30-acre farm. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School and attended Mott Community College and U of M Flint. Stephen was a former member of Bristol Road Church of Christ. He repented and was baptized for the remission of his sins. Stephen collected coins and stamps, enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and loved gazing at the moon and stars. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Surviving are the love and joy of his life, his wife, Peggy;
children, Laina (Josh), Daniel, Leon, Tonya Bossert, and Steven (Crystal);
daughter-in-law, Wendi;
grandchildren, Alex, Logan, Isaac, Taylor, Kaylee, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Cody (Tabitha), Donny, Xander, Sydnea, Camryn, Steven Jr. and Gracie;
great-grandson, Cashton;
brothers, John (Sharon), Gary (Yolanda), and Mark (Val);
and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane, and step-father, Floyd.
