Emmett Carless Ward of Genesee Township age 86 died Wednesday December 18, 2019 at Ascension-Genesys. A funeral service will be held on Saturday December 21, 2019 at 11:00 am, at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel Downtown Davison with Pastor Dwayne Sweet officiating with private burial at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive visitors Friday December 20, 2019 from 4:00-8:00pm at funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Emmett’s memory to Genesee Independent Baptist Church.
Emmett was born in Laing, West Virginia on December 23, 1932 the son of the late Ashley and Alka (Fannin) Ward. He was joined in marriage to Mary Frances Crowder on August 22, 1959 in West Virginia and she preceded him in death October 22, 2019. Emmett was a devoted member of Genesee Independent Baptist Church.
Emmet is survived by children; Teresa Rodriguez, Janet Ward, Timothy and wife Marie Ward, and Andrew and wife Laura Ward; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
