LONG, Geneva L. – of Montrose, age 84, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at Genesis Care Center in Grand Blanc. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Larry Rednower officiating. Burial in West Vienna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of services at 4 PM. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Geneva was born May 6, 1931 in Flint to the late Daniel and Rose (Whalen) Conway. She was a resident of Clio her entire life. Geneva married Elwin R. Long on October 29, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2010. She was employed at GMSPO for 9 years. She had attended New Covenant Free Methodist Church and volunteered for Love Inc. Geneva enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children: Dennis (Cheryl) Long of NH, Richard (Pamela) Long of Clio, Gary (Rhonda) Long of SC, Timothy (Roxanne) Long of Gladwin; 13 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: Brothers: Dan, Jack and Richard Conway; and a Sister, Margaret Coffin.
