DAMRAU, William P. “Bill” - Of Fenton, age 64, died Monday, April 9, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 6:30 pm Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Doug Klein officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery on Friday.
Visitation 4-8 pm Wednesday and 11am-2pm and 4pm Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Bill was born in Flint on May 16, 1947, son of Paul and Glenna (Brooks) Damrau. On May 26, 1969, Bill married Lynette Jean Shustock. He served his country in the Unites States Army. Bill retired from Buick and Lake Orion in 2008 with over 40 years of service. Bill loved ice fishing, hunting, metal detecting, throwing horseshoes, mowing the perfect lawn and his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are wife, Lynette Jean Damrau;
Son William R. (Christy) Damrau;
Daughter, Anissa (Chris) Hackett;
Grandchildren, Lauren and Bragen Hackett, Raena and Billy Damrau;
Sisters, Dee (James) Brown, Paulette Pointon and Tracy Damrau;
Sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Doug Monty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws and brothers-in-law.
