BECKER, Donald E. – of Genesee Township, age 84, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Liberty House in Flushing. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Larry Survance officiating. Burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Morris. Visitation will be Friday 12 Noon to 8 PM and on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of services at 2 PM. Contributions may be made to the family.
Don was born August 11, 1932 in Flint to the late Walter and Hazel (Baker) Becker. He was a lifelong resident of Genesee Twp. Don married Geraldine Rush December 20, 1952. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2015. Mr. Becker was one of the founders of Kearsley Rescue Squad in 1966, served as Genesee Township Treasurer for 36 years, served on numerous boards and committees, was a lifetime member of the Genesee County Parks Association, and member of Davison First Baptist Church for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, was a Tigers fan and was known to always have a sense of humor.
Surviving are: Children: Lynette (Ross) Childers of Flushing, Cynthia (Art) Miles of Genesee Twp., Donna (Eric) Alvarado of Raleigh, NC, Keith (Tammy) Becker of Clio; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; Sister, Pauline Madison of Mt.
