MURRAY, Arlene – Of Houghton Lake, age 89, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at American House North.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Desiree Lawson officiating.
Cremains to be interred at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Cathy Cady Memorial Scholarship at Mott Community College.
Memorial visitation 3-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Arlene was born in Flint, Michigan on August 4, 1927, daughter of the late Albert and Marguerite (Manning) Auger.
On October 18, 1947 she married Charles W. Murray, Jr. at Community Presbyterian in Flint.
She was a member of Parkland Presbyterian in Flint and Presbyterian Kirk of the Lake in Houghton Lake.
She was an active volunteer at Kings Nursing Home in Houghton Lake and American House in Flint.
Surviving are children, Diane Cooper,
Linda (John) Baldaray,
Richard (Suzanne) Murray and
William (Pamela) Murray;
son-in-law, Mark Cady, Sr.;
12 grandchildren, Stephanie (Jim) Gehl, Pamela and Michelle Cooper, Melissa Putney, Mark (Brooke) Cady, Angela, Rick (Jennie), Ryan, William (Katharine) and Katelyn Murray, John (Erica) Baldaray and Leia (Kory) Felix;
8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles and daughter, Cathy Cady.
