BRUZEWSKI, Georgette Gray - Age 95, of Flushing, died peacefully with her family at her side Thursday, February 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Monday, February 23 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10 AM - 12 PM Monday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Georgette was born February 17, 1920 in Kingsbury, England the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Wheeler) Barnes. She married Ronald Gray; they had three children. In September of 1950 she and her family moved from England to Flint. In 1962 she moved to Flushing where she supported her husband in his building business, Grays Custom Homes. After her husband's death, she met Arthur Bruzewski. She spent 34 years with him, spending many summers at Point Lookout, Au Gres. Georgette was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved the outdoors, fishing, traveling and knitting. You could always find her cooking her favorite Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding. At Christmas you could find her in the kitchen making her Trifle and Mincemeat Pie. Her sense of humor will be her legacy going on forever.
Georgette is survived by her children, Janet Gray-Woods (Bill) of Linden, James Gray (Karen) of Flushing; grandchildren, Pamela Georgette, Scott (Donna), Matthew (Debra); great-grandchildren, Ethan, Bryan, and Ashley (Ben).
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ronald Gray and Arthur Bruzewski; brothers; sisters; daughter, Carol; son-in-law, Mike Henigi.
