BADAL, Elizabeth - Of Grand Blanc, age 84, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Kith Haven Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Dr. John L. Musgrave officiating.
Burial in Assyrian Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Assyrian Cemetery Fund.
Visitation 3-8pm Thursday and 12 Noon Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Elizabeth was born in Flint on December 21, 1930, the daughter of the late Solomon and Surria Simon. On January 27, 1950, she married Samuel J. Badal in Flint and he passed away on September 10, 2000. Elizabeth owned and operated Badal’s Market in Flint and worked for Food Castle Markets for many years. She loved to take care of her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are sons, Sam Jr. (Pamela) of Grand Blanc, John (Cindy) of Swartz Creek and Jim (Amy) of Flushing;
grandchildren Tina Faur, Ryan, Eric and Taylor Badal, Raidan Soba, John (Shawn) Badal Jr., and Jenna and Jacob Badal;
5 great-grandchildren;
sisters, Juanita Elia, Lydia Simon and Julie Simon;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brother, Paul Simon and brother-in-law, William Elia.
