SPEZIA, Arlene G. - of Davison, age 91, passed away November 24, 2014 at A Family Affair Assisted Living in Lapeer. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:30 PM Friday, November 28, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Carl Simon celebrant. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation will be 10:30 AM -12:30 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach East.
Arlene was born in Oxford, MI on August 26, 1923, daughter of the late Monroe and Ethel (Cowan) Dunlap Jr. She married Joseph Paul Spezia on June 26, 1943 and he preceded her in death on December 12, 1996. Arlene was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed helping on the family farm and in her spare time, quilting and reading.
Arlene is survived by her children, Nancy (Hank) Cross, Rosemary Thiebaut, Terry (Cindy) Spezia, Laurie (Bob) Tritten; grandchildren, Joe (Sue) Cross, Mike (Ginger) Cross, Dianna DeGraw, Chris (Melissa) Thiebaut, Amy (Troy) Leach, Emily (Doug) Williams, Marianne (Phil) Black, Laura (Eric) Gibbs; ten great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister (Margaret (Dale) McFarland; son-in-law, Joel Thiebaut; grandson-in-law, John DeGraw.
