Mary was born in Adrian, Michigan on August 30, 1941, the oldest of three children to Howard and Georgiana (Miller) Warren. She graduated Salutatorian from Madison High School in 1959. She attended Eastern Michigan University, graduating in 1963, and received her Master’s degree in 1979.
After graduation form EMU, Mary moved to Flint and taught at Buick Junior High in the Beecher school system for four years. She then taught 6th grade at Carter Middle School for the Clio Schools until her retirement in 1994.
