Marguerite G. Gerwolds, age 83, of Columbiaville went to be with her Lord on March 9, 2014
Marguerite was born June 29, 1930 in Flint. The daughter of the late Byron and Tessie Edwards. She later married Robert Glenn June 14, 1949 in Columbiaville. Marguerite worked for the LakeVille School District for 22 years before retiring. She was member of Columbiaville United Methodist Church, Columbiaville Women’s Service League, and Red Hat Society. She enjoyed Gardening and fishing down at her pond.
Marguerite is survived by her sons: Stephen ( Maryann ) Gerwolds, Michael “Trash” ( Janet ) Gerwolds, siblings: Charles Edwards, Robert ( Joyce ) Edwards, Nita ( Lester ) Peters. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 1 great- grandchild, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, daughter Michelle, brothers: James and Clifford.
Funeral Service 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Columbiaville United Methodist Church where friends may visit an hour prior to services. Visitation will be on Tuesday 3-9 PM from Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville. Pastor Esther Irish officiating. Cremation will follow the service and Marguerite’s cremain’s will be buried at Oregon Township Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Marguerite may be made to the church. |
