WEDDINGTON, Noel Keith - Of Flushing, age 89, died Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Courtyard Manor of Swartz Creek.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Monday, January 27, 2020 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint.
Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
Cremation will take place following the Mass.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Visitation 2-4pm and 4-8pm Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Sunday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Monday at church until the time of the Mass.
Noel was born in Beech Grove, Arkansas on February 26, 1930, the son of the late Clarence and Evia (Normand) Weddington and was a resident of the Flint area and Flushing since 1941. He married Helen Cholewsky on January 20, 1962 and she preceded him in death on September 21, 1997. He married Berneda Fowley on September 19, 1998. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a former member of All Saints Catholic Church and a current member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Mr. Weddington was employed by Buick Motor Division for 34 years.
Surviving are wife, Berneda;
daughter, Kathy and husband Al Buchalski;
3 grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan (Melissa) and Meghan Buchalski;
4 great-grandchildren, Ella Buchalski, Phoenix Buchalski, Dylan Buchalski and Ayden Bryl;
several nieces and nephews;
and his beloved kitty, Krisee.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Evia Weddington, sister, Blonda Havlichek and brother, Kevin Weddington.
