Marlou Ann Rothe Rubelman
Age 66 of Owosso passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at Sparrow Health Systems.
Funeral services will be held 12noon Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Grace Point Wesleyan Church with Pastor David Holdren officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm, with two hours prior to service on Wednesday.
Marlou was born February 14, 1953 in Owosso, the daughter of Leo and Vera (Griffin) Rothe.
She graduated from Corunna High School, class of 1971 and attended Owosso Bible College. Marlou was a member of Grace Point Wesleyan Church and Corunna United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed vacationing in Traverse City, camping, eating smores and riding fast in speed boats. Most of all she looked forward to time with her family and friends; especially with her grandsons and could be caught snapping pictures of them whenever possible.
Marlou married Gary Rubelman at Corunna United Methodist Church on October 13, 1973.
She spent 40 years working in retail such as grocery and dollar stores.
Marlou is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary; son Matt (Kelly) Rubelman; grandsons Ryan Zachary and Ethan James; brothers Elden Rothe and Gary (Julie) Rothe; sister Marlene (David) Holdren; many nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her son Zachary Alan Rubelman; sister Marsha Rothe; sister-in-law Verona Rothe, brother-in-law Larry Rubelman; sister-in-law Sue Rubelman.
