Wills, Marian E. (Keely) of Flushing, age 89, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2012 at All Saints Catholic Church. Msgr. Anthony Majchrowski will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home and 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass Friday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Marian was born in Flint, Michigan on March 24, 1923, the daughter of John and Viola (Hunter) Keely. She married Robert Wills on October 5, 1946 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Flint. He preceded her death on March 24, 1995. Marian graduated from Flint Northern High School. After graduation, she went to work at AC Spark Plug in Flint where she worked during World War II. She retired after 30 years of service. Marian was a member of St. Agnes and All Saints Catholic Church.
She enjoyed making cakes and cookies for family and friends and had many family parties and dinners at her home. Marian was in charge of the Industrial Avenue AC Reunions which have been going on for over 33 years, with the help of Keith Smith, Liz LaFleur and Gene Reid.
She is survived by her four sons, Robert Jr. and wife Kathryn Wills, Gary and wife Deborah Wills, Bill Wills, Jim and wife Angie Wills; 10 grandchildren, Tonya (Steve) Mitchell, Jodi (Jason) Coenen, Christopher (Kelsey) Wills, Michelle (Dan) Wheatley, Melissa (Paul) Czarnecki, Andrew (Kiley) Wills, David Wills, Sydney Wills, Spencer Wills, Sadie Rose Wills; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy McClanahan, Viola Witter, Beverley and Daniel Feckovic; brothers, Wallace Keely, Gerald and Kathryn Keely, Darold and Sheila Keely; sisters-in-law, Dawn Keely, Carolyn Ross, Kathleen Keely; best friend, Jennie Sordyl. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lila (Clarence) Moss, Marjorie Keely; brothers, John Keely Jr., William Keely, Robert Keely; sister-in-law, Marlene Keely and brother-in-law Duane Witter. |
