Ulanski, Marian E. of Flushing, age 87, died Monday, Ocotober 28, 2013, in Franklin, Massachusetts. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2013, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Fr. Thomas Firestone will officiate. Burial of cremated remains will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass, Friday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MTCK Marines Taking Care of Kids.
Marian was born in L’Anse, Michigan on December 12, 1925, the daughter of Anthony (Tony) and Alice (Peletier) Ill. She married Edward J. Ulanski in May of 1953. She assumed the responsibility of step-mother to his three children and together they had six children; one who died at birth. Edward preceded her in death on February 10, 1991. Marian was Past President of P.L.A.V. Women’s Auxiliary and a member of McLaren Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Mik Ulanski Stone of Flint, Therese Ulanski of Austin, TX, Joseph and wife Jeannie Ulanski of Flushing, James and wife Suzanne Ulanski of Franklin, MA; step-children, Elaine Schuster of Russellville, AR, Thomas and wife Kathryn Ulanski of Manton, MI, Diane and husband Mike Moore of Clio; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean and husband Robert Sundberg of Fairbanks, AK, Mary Alice and husband Ron Tremethick of Lewisville, TX; brother, Lawrence Ill of Milwaukee, WI; several nieces and nephews. Marian was also preceded in death by her son, Robert; baby, Sharon; brother, Fr. Robert Ile and parents, Tony and Alice.
