NEELY, Gerald – of Flint, age 88, passed away March 1, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A Graveside Service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, 9506 N. Dort Hwy., Mt. Morris, MI 48458; Pastor Jason Kilcoyne officiating.
Jerry was born in Flint, MI on October 1, 1929, son of the late Morton and Dorothy (Newman) Neely. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Jerry married Patricia Benoit on February 15, 1958. He was a founding member of Genova Products. Jerry was known for being a “Jack of all Trades”. He also loved taking his annual trips to the Upper Peninsula. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia; children, Cindy (Don) Daly, Skip (Vicky) Bennett, Bryon Neely, Terri (Kenneth) Rose, Fred Neely (fianceé, Cindy) and Lorie (Bob) Wheaton; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
