FOWLER (HORVATH), Marilyn Carol – Of Fenton, age 78, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Almost Home Assisted Living in Fenton.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Marilyn was born in Flint, Michigan on November 3 1940, the daughter of the late Edmund and Mentie (Pace) Horvath.
Marilyn began her career as a journalist. She was editor of the Arkansas Democrat and also had her own column in the Michigan Farmer. She then became a teacher and taught at Durant-Tuuri-Mott for 30 years, until her retirement.
Marilyn’s family meant the world to her and she enjoyed spending time with them.
Surviving are children, Jennifer Hart, James Fowler and Jill Villarreal;
6 grandchildren, Carter Fowler, Abigail and Andrew Hart, Mickey and Julianna Villarreal and Amber Rose;
siblings, Ed Horvath and Emily (Jack) McMahan;
sister-in-law, Judy Horvath.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Horvath.
The family would like to thank all caregivers and staff of Almost Home Assisted Living and Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
