HUGHES, Timothy W. – of Genesee, age 41, died Friday, April 8, 2016 at McLaren Regional Medical Center of Lapeer. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1PM Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the family.

Tim was born January 5, 1975 in Flint, Michigan to William Smith and Oneida Hughes, he was the youngest of 7 children. Tim attended Genesee Schools and played football for the Genesee Wolves. He was employed as a sales representative with State Building Company. Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. Above all, he loved life and spending time with his family and friends. Tim will be greatly missed.

Surviving are: Mother, Oneida Hughes “Kaye” (companion Bill Sawade); Sisters: Diana Hughes (Fiancé John Jacobs), Shawna Hughes and Michelle Smith (Fiancé Tony Brabbs), Brothers: Mike Smith, Bill (Stephanie) Smith and Gerald Walter; Girlfriend, Mary Barkman and her daughters: Allie and Anna; Uncles: James Smith and T.J. Kimberlin; Special friends: Scott (Michelle) Lamp, Brad Lebeau and Jason and Dennis LaLonde; Several cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
