Kasson, Patricia A. – of Montrose, age 70, died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Brian’s House in Davison. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Rev. Eugene Smith officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Brian’s House. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
Pat was born May 24, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to the late Gail and Vestola (Sharp) Hobson. She was a lifelong Montrose resident and graduated from Montrose High School in 1949. Pat married Tom Kasson May 25, 1963. She was employed by Anchor Motor Freight in Flint for many years. Pat was a longtime member of the Montrose Blueberry Festival and she and her husband Tom were honored as Grand Marshals in 2007. She was also a Montrose Township election official for several years. She taught ceramics, loved crafts and enjoyed antique cars and car shows.
Surviving are: husband, Tom; Daughter: Kelly (Barry) Burkholder of Milton, Canada. 3 grandchildren: Bradley, Dylan and Chelsea. Pat was also preceded in death by her infant son, Thomas. Please sign our guest book or share an online condolence with the family at www.oguinnfh.com.
