WEST, Diane Marie (McElroy) – of Davison, MI, age 61, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Deacon Peter Cornell officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice, in Diane’s memory.
Diane was born in Port Huron, MI on March 3, 1957, daughter of Robert and Mildred (Pickard) McElroy. She was a graduate of Port Huron Northern High School Class of 1975. Diane married Bernard C. West in November 1975 and he preceded her in death on August 10, 1991. She retired as a paraprofessional educator from Davison Community Schools in 2005. Diane loved the Lord and had a kind, generous heart. She shared selflessly with all who knew her. Diane did her best to always live her faith.
Diane is survived by 2 children, Matthew West and Andrea (Jason) Cornell; mother, Mildred McElroy; sister, Linda (James) Patridge; brother, Jim McElroy; many beloved nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard C. West; son, Nathan A. West and father, Robert McElroy.
