Ann R. Wiesen of Flushing, age 85 passed away peacefully Saturday, November 10, 2012 at her home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Robert Catholic Church with Father Louis Ekka officiating. Entombment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14 from 2-8 p.m. at Rossell Funeral Home and from 10:30 a.m. until time of the mass Thursday at the church. A rosary service will be prayed 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Robert Catholic Church or McLaren Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center.
Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born in Flint, MI on May 8, 1927, the daughter of John and Rose (Valentino) Minaudo. She graduated from St. Michael’s High School in 1945. Ann married Robert W. Wiesen at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Flint on June 24, 1950. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2004. Ann retired after working 25 years at J.C. Penney as a sales associate. She was a member of St. Robert Catholic Church, Huff and Puff Group, American Business Women’s Organization, and also a McLaren Hospital volunteer.
Ann is survived by: son, Robert M. and wife Rori Wiesen; grandchildren, Mary and husband Robert Dunlap, Robert M. Wiesen Jr., Mallory Wiesen. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mary, Mario, Mac, Virginia, and John. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We would also like to extend a very special thanks to Callie Paige for her dedicated care giving and friendship. |
