MOORE, Lloyd A. - Age 78, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, August 14, 2020. Funeral service will take place 1 PM, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will take place Tuesday from 11 AM to 2 PM and from 5 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. In Lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Lloyd was born December 7, 1941 in Gaylord, Michigan the son of Oscar and Bernice (Lorentz) Moore. He graduated from Vanderbilt High School, class of 1959. Lloyd proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1968. He and Janet Aufderheide were united in marriage on October 10, 1964 in Fenton. Lloyd worked for Buick for many years until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Swartz Creek and American Legion Post 64 of Flint. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandson play hockey and granddaughters barrel race. Lloyd liked golfing, watching hockey and traveling to the cabin.
He is survived by her 2 children, Kyle Moore and Denise (Michael) Harburn; 3 grandchildren, Kayla (Zach) Baker, Cody Harburn and Chloe Harburn; 2 great-grandchildren, Brantley Baker and Benelli Baker; and 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Floyd (Ruth) Moore, Reda Highfill, Alice Flynn and Wayne Moore.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet Moore; parents, Oscar and Bernice Moore; sister, Shirley Sehl; and brother, Robert Moore.
