O’DELL, Michael John – of Clio, age 52, died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Dan Shinabarger officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 and Wednesday from 1-5 and 7-8:30PM. Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Mike was born July 2, 1960 in Flint, son of Donald and Dawn (McDiarmid) O’Dell. He was a graduate of Clio High School and attended the Home Ave. Program. He lived in Clio his entire life and the last 17 years was shared between living at home and Bentley Manor #7. He loved to talk and ask lots of questions. He loved people, going to McDonalds, riding camels, Bugs Bunny, his orange cat and singing to mother dear. Mike attended New Covenant Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are: parents, Donald and Dawn O’Dell of Clio; sister, Denise O’Dell; sister in law, Kathy O’Dell; 2 nieces, Kelly O’Dell and Erin (Kyle) Shuberg; great nephew, Mason Gregory Shuberg; an aunt, Dorothy Ross; many cousins; special cousin, Kay; special friend Lori Cochrin; and all the staff and friends at Bentley Manor #7. He was preceded in death by: his brother, Gregory; his grandparents; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to extend thanks to the staff of McLaren Flint ICU Unit and his Bentley Manor family.
