THOMAS, Ayanna Rose "Annie" – Of Flint Township, age 24, died peacefully in her sleep and was eternally released from a life of pain, when she entered the arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, June 23, 2014.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Ron Osborn officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ayanna was born in Flint, Michigan on October 4, 1989, the daughter of Eugene and Tracy Thomas.
Ayanna graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School in 2008. She was attending Mott Community College, studying to be a Paleontologist.
She loved dinosaurs, Batman, was a beautiful artist, loved listening to music, monster trucks and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are mother, Tracy and husband LeVearne Naylor;
father, Eugene and wife Crystal Thomas;
siblings, Christen Thomas, Zachary Thomas and Melinda Naylor;
grandparents, Leroy and Martha Thomas, James and Patricia Sumner and Clyde Runnion;
great-grandmother, Kay Schmitt;
many loving and supportive aunts, uncles and cousins, whom she was very close to.
She was preceded in death by great-grandmother, Aletha Fisher; grandmother, Susan Runnion; aunts, Judy, Linda, Nancy and Sandy; uncle, Doug.
