Steven Joseph Mitchell, 68, of Midland passed away peacefully on September 11th, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center – Midland. Steven was born to the late Thomas and Evelyn (Trierweiler) Mitchell on July 26th, 1952. Steven married his wife Judy (Williams) Mitchell on August 26th, 1989.
Steven loved spending time in the outdoors fishing and camping with family and friends. Steven was a member of the fraternal Order of Moose, and fraternal Order of Eagles. He also served as the Secretary Treasurer of the International Painters and Allied Trades DC 26/LU1803. Steven worked passionately as an apprentice school instructor for the painting and allied trades. Steven also had a special love for his animals.
Steven is survived by his loving wife Judy (Williams) Mitchell; son, Joseph (Adrienne) Mitchell; stepson, Brant (Carla Murphy) Banaszak, John (Karen) Banaszak; grandchildren, Alexandra, Jack, Maddison, Brant Williams, Branson, Lilith Grace; brothers and sisters, Ray (Karen) Mitchell, Jim (Carolyn) Mitchell, Nadine Perkins, Linda Mitchell, Brian (Sharon) Mitchell and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Lung Cancer Foundation of America in his honor.
