POWELL, Lelia Imogene -- Age 97, of Lennon, passed at home with her family by her side on August 27, 2019. Funeral services will be held 3PM Saturday, August 31 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Daniel Wine officiating. Visitation will be 12PM Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.
Lelia was born October 28, 1921 in Black Oak Arkansas the daughter of Robert Grover and Lena Ella ( Harris ) Perry. She married Finis Powell on July 19, 1938 in Cardwell Mo. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1971. She was a member of the UAW 659, and the Swartz Creek Senior Center. She was a member of various sewing and knitting and crocheting groups. She is survived by her children, Jimmy R. (Marylyn) Powell, Patsy J. (Bill) Stratton; grandchildren, Sherri Stratton, Kathy ( Jeff) Johnson, Kevin Powell, Perry (Kellie) Stratton, Marylynn (David) Hughes, Arthur Hatfield; 22 great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; brother, Billy (Elenore) Perry of Letchville Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Finis; sisters, Pauline Ware; sister, Maxine Rowley; brothers, Bud R.G. Perry, Gerald Perry.
