Kayann leaves us with a true example of a loving life well lived. She was born in Flint, Michigan on May 31, 1953 the daughter of the late Mathias & Annamae (Cook) Roster and had resided in the Kearsley area most of her life, retiring to Wixom Lake in 2005. She was joined in marriage to Daniel Lackey on January 31, 1976 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church and they were truly devoted lovebirds for their entire 43 years of marriage. A graduate of Holy Rosary Catholic School, Kayann was an avid thrift store shopper who enjoyed keeping up with current events and loved her family immensely, especially her grandchildren. She left us with no doubt that she loved us and she was proud of us. Family and friends will miss all of her political issues and opinions on Facebook and her deep passion for human rights and social justice. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, was instrumental in the starting of St. John Montessori Program and was employed there until her retirement in 2004.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of forty-three years Daniel, daughters; Sarah and husband Andrew Schulz, and Caron Esterdahl. She also leaves her loving grandchildren; Nathan, Adam, Joey, Ella, Danny, and great grandson Lincoln and her devoted niece and nephew, Wesley Clark and Kasey Noyce and their spouses and children. Surviving siblings; Terry Roster, Gary Roster, Linda Clark, her cherished pet Gracie, and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by brother Larry Roster, and brother-in-law Kevin Clark. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneraalhome.net
